Basic hair care questions and
answers I need a new look, what can I do? A great way to 'try' on a style is to simply style your hair. Try adding height or wearing it sleeker to find out how a different style feels. I need more volume in my hair, what can I do? There are many products designed to add fullness and body. Also, consider using a round brush or drying your hair upside down for lift. I'm beginning to see a few grey hairs. How can I hide them? Temporary and semi-permanent colours are designed to blend grey hairs without creating a major change to your natural hair color. They simply wash out of your hair after several shampoos. |
| You might also consider having
subtle highlights done i.e. to blend the grey with lighter streaks of
colour. How often should I have my hair trimmed? We recommend every 4-6 weeks. Men may come in more often for a little 'clean up' around the neck and side-burns. How often should I get a perm? Permanent waves can be done every 3 months. How can I grow my hair longer? Make sure you have it trimmed regularly and be sure to use a gentle shampoo along with conditioning treatments. Conditioning will repair the damage done by heat and harsh chemicals and prevent split ends and breakage. How to create more volume: For long hair, simply bend over and dry your hair upside down. Try using your hands to scrunch and lift hair into place. Creating lift at the scalp is your goal. For shorter hair, drying with a round brush is the answer. Styling mousses and gels are essential for keeping the volume all day. How to make curly hair curlier or more manageable: Use your hands to scrunch or squeeze the curls into place; never brush curly hair! How to straighten wavy or curly hair: Be sure to remove most of the moisture from the hair before working with a brush. Begin drying your hair at the nape and work up to the crown, taking small sections at a time. |
